About Melody Smith

Melody Smith is a Certified Level III Usui Reiki Master Practitioner, trained in Usui Holy Fire III & Usui Shiki Ryoho, and a Professional member of the International Association of Reiki Professionals (IARP). Certifications earned include Usui Holy Fire III - Levels I & II attained in Cedar Rapids, IA; Usui Shiki Ryoho, Reiki Master in Encinitas, CA; and Certified Integral Sound Healing Level I in Cedar Rapids.

My ongoing work and experience have emerged from almost 12 years of dedication toward healing and spiritual awaking. Initially discovering Reiki & Sound Healing when embarking on my own deep healing journey, I completely fell in love with the simple and profound practice of Reiki, which is a lifestyle, an immersion, a way of being. This has included many spiritual initiations, ceremonies, direct experiences with deep personal work, mentors, teachers and certifications. Several years into my journey I took one class and have never looked back. After becoming a Reiki Master, I remain on the path to broaden my wisdom through additional certifications and lifelong learning.

I truly enjoy holding space for lighting up and igniting the innate healer within ourselves through the beautiful modalities of Reiki and Sound Therapy to assist individuals in connecting to a deep healing space within. This assists in the release of stress, while harmonizing body, mind & spirit to open up to what is possible.

During each session, I meet you where you are and we move in an organic way that honors your unique rhythm of healing. You may come to a session with intentions of what you want to focus on, or I can read your energy and create a session. It can also be a combination of both.

I now allocate my time between Eastern Iowa and Southern California both in practice and additional learning. This allows me the opportunity to broaden my experience through sessions & classes, or by attending local Sound Therapy and QiGong sessions either as a participant or at times as an invited practitioner.
